No code? - I've worked with just about every COTS simulation software available and to get anything accurate beyond a basic flow requires coding or scripting of some sort. Can anyone (actual users of Simcad) please explain what the user has to do to get a valid model, and can it actually be accomplished without coding or scripting?

JT, I've worked with a number of COTS tools as well. My experience is that tools like igrafx, extend, simul8 can create models without code but they are not nearly accurate enough for me to feel comfortable suggesting the changes explored in the models (and even some of these tools require some scripting to move beyond a basic flow). Tools like promodel, automod, flexsim, simio can create extensive models but require extensive coding to get anything worth while and by that time it is too late. I need models up and running in a couple of weeks not months. Not to mention the headaches inherent when coding anything. Simcad allows me to create models with complex behavior/requirements without any code. This is due to the user interfaces that are integrated in Simcad. Since I work with many part types and my demand is always changing manually inputting the schedules, routings, and parameters would take forever so I use the import features, excel primarily but there is also an interface to SQL/Oracel/Access that would work great if my clients had their data in a database.
