How are patient parameters created and made available for reporting?

Patient parameters (like length of stay, wait time, distance traveled, etc.) are automatically available for review during and after the simulation, through gauges/graphs and spreadsheet views.

Every object or patient that is in the system is already being tracked from a length of stay perspective. Additionally, that time is broken down into total time, delay time, "processing" time, waiting on resource, and more.

When analyzing the efficiency of the system or proposed design/layout from the architect, travel distance will be key – as this can have a large negative impact on patient efficiency, provider efficiency and overall system efficiency. When a CAD layout, 2D or 3D, is available, Simcad will automatically, based on the scale of the layout, calculate travel distance for patients and service providers.

These and many other key metrics are available to display in a gauge/graph/report during the run, at the end of the run, and can also be part of scenario analysis when enabled (requires one check box to enable scenario analysis).
